I must say, Montreal really calls my name! If it weren't for the crappier winters, high (insane?) real estate costs, and the lack of jobs (it is more the later than anything) maybe I would have found my next career challenge in Montreal. The language barrier would be tough as well, but that is something that can be overcome.. with a bit of effort.
Long story short, fully enjoyed my evening at the Dieu du Ceil (DDC). What an amazing spot; lively, loud, energetic, warm, fun.. I could go on. But most importantly the beer is also top quality. They have a huge tap list all made on site. I didn't have a bad beer, and I had a couple...
I also had a tasty little flat bread pizza as well as a grill cheese sandwich (what better options to go with good beer!). Sitting at the bar, I was treated to great service, the bartender was attentive and knowledgeable about the .beer. She was friendly and chatty as well, which never goes unnoticed in my books
I don't really know what caused me to pull the trigger on DDC, but whatever it was.. Thank you! A great memory of this trip so far, and it has only just begun.
Toronto (and Dylan and Ainslie), here I come.
Tim

Hey, it's the journey, not the destination! Sounds like the cab was well worth it. What a great spot to try. As mentioned, hope you had one for me. Food sounds good too. Say hi to Dylan and Ainslie for me!
ReplyDeleteGood stuff, Tim! Never a bad time at DDC!, I've found.
